MINIMALISM CAN STILL BE INVITING
Save for an old redwood planter box, the homeowners had little reason to leave their deck and venture into their rear yard. Split-level patio’s were design to compensate for the property’s natural left-to-right slope, providing ample space for multiple uses, and the upper patio’s 24” high wall serves as casual built-in seating for the lower. Drought-friendly plantings provide pops of color and contrast to the hardscape’s modern, minimalist feel, while also inviting pollinators into the yard.
